EMS Care at HealthONE

HealthONE is dedicated to providing support and educational opportunities to the EMS community. HealthONE EMS offers the largest and most comprehensive outreach programs in Colorado. Emergency medical services are available at each of our seven hospitals in the HealthONE network, located conveniently throughout the Denver metro area.

Why Transport to a HCA HealthONE Hospital?

HCA HealthONE is dedicated to providing expert-level care and increasing efficiency to ensure the best possible outcome for each patient. Our extensive hospital network covers the entire Denver metro area, allowing residents in North Denver, South Denver, East Denver, West Denver and the surrounding suburbs to receive high-quality and immediate care in their area.

Key EMS programs at each HealthONE Hospital:

Our commitment to EMS education

In order to secure the future of these programs, HCA HealthONE Swedish has donated several hundred thousand dollars’ worth of training equipment and curriculum, along with more than 10,000 hours of ongoing annual clinical placement for EMT and Paramedic Program students. This donation and ongoing commitment to students by HealthONE will make it possible for ACC to take Emergency Medical Services education to new levels of creative potential.

EMS learning opportunities at HealthONE

Our HCA HealthONE hospitals offer a wide range of hands-on educational opportunities for the EMS community.

HCA HealthONE Mountain Ridge provides shadowing opportunities, in which EMS providers are paired with a physician or a mid-level provider and receive training toward state or national recertification. North Suburban Medical Center also participates in the AirLife Ride-Along Program and hosts a “From the Bus to the Burb” continuing education (CE) class every third Wednesday of the month.

HCA HealthONE Aurora offers a monthly EMS and Trauma continuing education conference, targeted towards EMS providers and health care personnel involved in acute care.

The HCA HealthONE Rocky Mountain Children's at Presbyterian St. Luke's hosts an annual Rocky Mountain Children's Pediatric and OB EMS symposium. The one-day conference offers both EMS and nursing continuing education credits.
