Types of trauma centers we offer

Trauma centers are categorized into four levels. We offer access to Level I (the highest level of trauma care) and Level II Trauma Centers, and all of our hospitals are at least Level IV Trauma Centers.

Our Level I Trauma Center

We have a Level I Trauma Center at HCA HealthONE Swedish. It is capable of providing total care for every aspect of injury — starting with prevention and seeing you through rehabilitation.

Our Level I Trauma Centers provide advanced care to trauma patients, including:

  • 24/7 access to a full range of advanced trauma specialists, such as trauma surgeons, radiologists, emergency medicine doctors and critical care specialists
  • Care for pediatric patients
  • Continued research about traumatic injuries
  • Education about trauma prevention to surrounding communities
Our Level II Trauma Centers

Level II Trauma Centers collaborate to provide comprehensive care and supplement the expertise of a Level I Trauma Center. They provide 24/7 availability to all essential medical specialties, staff and equipment. Additionally, they can refer you to a Level I Trauma Center if needed.
