About Me: I have been a pharmacist at Swedish since 2013. During my time here I have spent time working with the Women’s and Children’s services but now focus my time on medication safety and general staffing. In 2016 I was awarded hospital employee of the month and in 2019 was recognized by the facility for a patient safety great catch. When not at work, I enjoy spending time trying to grow food in my garden, traveling with my family and reading. I’ve called Colorado home since 2007 but will always be a Hawkeye.

About Me: Jeff Lalama is a Professor of Pharmacy Practice at Regis University. Swedish Medical Center is his practice site where he also works as a PRN Advanced Clinical Pharmacist. He has been at Swedish since 2012 and has worked with this residency program since its inception. Jeff is specialized in cardiology and covers both the Surgical and Medical Cardiology floors. About me: Leah Loewenstein, PharmD, BCPS, is an Advanced Clinical Pharmacist in Neurology at Swedish Medical Center. She earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Midwestern University – Glendale, AZ in 2009. She then went on to practice as a critical care and neurology pharmacist at Cleveland Clinic Foundation. After eight years as a practicing pharmacist, she received PGY-1 exemption from ASHP and pursued a PGY-2 Neurology Residency at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Los Angeles, CA. After completion of her residency she traveled the country, fell in love with the beautiful state of Colorado, and decided to settle in Denver. Her professional interests include acute stroke management, secondary stroke prevention, and epilepsy. In her free time, Leah enjoys spending time with family and friends, hiking, camping, playing fetch with her dog Lily, skiing, and crafting.

About Me: Jackie is the Pharmacy Director at Swedish Medical Center. Jackie has been at Swedish since 2008, and prior to her role as Director, she was the Clinical Coordinator. Jackie is a preceptor for the administration core rotation within the Swedish Medical Center PGY1 pharmacy training program. She graduated with a PharmD. From The University of Nebraska Medical Center in 2007 and completed a PGY1 Pharmacy Practice Residency at Veteran’s Affairs Medical Center in Denver, CO.
