Diagnosed with scoliosis as a child, Sophia worried that treatment might force her to give up the activities she loved most—dance and gymnastics. Instead, she became the first patient in Colorado to undergo vertebral body tethering, an innovative procedure performed at HCA HealthONE Rocky Mountain Children’s that corrected her spinal curve while preserving flexibility and motion.
