It's time for that annual flu vaccine: What to know

Flu season may be a ways from peaking, but experts are seeing cases now when other respiratory viruses are also being spread.

While flu season typically peaks in December or January, it usually begins in October. In addition to flu viruses, several other respiratory viruses also spread during flu season and can cause symptoms similar to those seen with the flu infection. Dr. Mark Montano, Medical Director of CareNow Urgent Care, discusses the importance of the flu vaccine and what to expect this season.
