Denver man's family saves his life twice, allowing him to become a father

On Father's Day, a brotherly bond is highlighted for two local dads.

Chris Krieger and his brother-in-law prepare for Chris’s first kidney transplant in 2003.

“I started getting sicker and sicker until I was at the point where I was on the transplant list,” Chris said. “And my brother actually approached me and said he wanted to be tested as a donor.”

Stephen tested at Presbyterian/St. Luke's and learned he was eligible to donate his kidney to his brother in 2022.
