It's been five years since the first documented COVID case in Colorado. These days, many people have put away their masks and hand sanitizer, ready to forget.

Now, many people have put away their masks and hand sanitizer, ready to forget. But health care workers in Denver say an experience like the pandemic changes you as a person, along with our health care system. 

"It's unbelievable," said Casey Guber, president & CEO of HCA HealthONE Rose. 

"It seems like yesterday and 20 years ago all at the same time," said Karen Biffinger, chief nursing officer of HCA HealthONE Rose.
