Gynecology and obstetrics

OB/GYNs and gynecologists are often misunderstood as providing the same type of medical care. However, the two specialties differ and the one that provides your care depends on your specific needs.

Gynecologists manage women’s health conditions that are not pregnancy-related. They typically offer services such as well-woman exams and treatments for the female reproductive organs.

OB/GYNs care for women from pregnancy to childbirth. They provide routine prenatal care so you and your baby stay healthy along with helping you create a birth plan. Then, when the big day comes, they help you safely deliver your baby.

At our women's clinic, we offer both services and give you access to comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care.

Infertility care

If you have been unsuccessful in conceiving, you might have concerns about infertility. There are several factors that can affect fertility, including age. Sometimes, however, there is no fertility issue at all, and conceiving just takes time.

With an infertility evaluation, our fertility doctors can help you determine if infertility is preventing you from conceiving. We can then identify which infertility treatments may help increase your chances of conception.

Maternity care

From the moment you find out you are pregnant to the moment you meet your little one, our childbirth team is here for you.

Our prenatal care program features childbirth and parent education classes to help you and your partner prepare for labor, delivery and new parenthood. If you need it, we also offer high-risk pregnancy care.

When it is time to welcome your little one, our labor and delivery unit offers soothing amenities. Our experienced team is dedicated to helping make your childbirth experience safe and special.

We are uniquely positioned to care for you and your baby because we share a campus with HCA HealthONE Rocky Mountain Children's at Presbyterian St. Luke's. That means our specialists can provide comprehensive, advanced care for both of you — all in one convenient area.

Should your baby need extra care, we have an in-house neonatologist who will care for your newborn in our advanced neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). As a Level IV NICU, we are able to provide the most advanced level of care to our tiniest patients.

Minimally invasive womens surgery

Often, we can perform gynecologic procedures with minimally invasive techniques, such as those using robot-assisted surgical technology. With these minimally invasive procedures, many patients experience less scarring, less postoperative pain and faster recoveries.

Some of our robotic gynecologic surgeries include hysterectomy (removal of the uterus and possibly other reproductive structures) and sacrocolpopexy (treatment for pelvic organ prolapse).

Other womens care services

Our goal is to make sure you receive comprehensive care from our women’s care specialists. Our other services include:

  • Annual exams
  • Family planning
  • Menopause management
  • Urogynecology
