Why organ donation matters more than ever

According to UNOS, there are currently more than 100,000 people who need a lifesaving organ transplant. In 2025 alone, HCA HealthONE’s parent company, HCA Healthcare, performed over 1,300 solid organ transplants, including more than 990 kidney transplants and 204 liver transplants, many of which were done at HCA HealthONE Presbyterian St. Luke’s.  Dr. Matthew Winn, Transplant Surgeon at HCA HealthONE Presbyterian St. Luke’s, is featured on 9News to discuss.
