Dietary Assistant Cristie Wilburn embodies dedication and passion in every step she takes — literally. She walks an average of 20,000 steps (approx. 8 miles) over the course of her daily duties to ensure patients at HCA HealthONE Swedish receive delicious and nourishing meals to support their healing journey. Cristie’s enthusiasm shines through every interaction with patients, visitors and colleagues; she says it’s her personal mission to bring a smile to their faces. She truly goes the extra mile to ensure a positive experience.
When John Tyler, Vice President of Operations, recently shadowed Cristie as part of our Walk In Your World effort to engage bedside voices on opportunities to improve our care and services, he was blown away by her resilience and the spirit of teamwork among our Food and Nutrition Services colleagues. The team continues to provide excellent meals and service amid the largest kitchen modeling project in the history of HCA HealthONE. They’ve come together, showing incredible camaraderie and commitment to our patients. The kitchen project is scheduled to be completed in spring 2025.
