Denver, CO – Rose Medical Center is proud to announce it has received the Chest Pain Center Accreditation from the American College of Cardiology (ACC), as well as the percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) designation. This recognition underscores Rose’s commitment to providing exceptional cardiovascular (CV) care for all patients.

The accreditation as a Chest Pain Center indicates that Rose Medical Center has achieved a higher level of expertise when dealing with patients who arrive with symptoms of a heart attack. This leads to more efficient and effective patient evaluations, rapid treatment, fewer readmissions, consistent process improvement, and lower lengths of stay.

ACC’s Chest Pain Center Accreditation is a quality improvement program designed for hospital CV teams that are focused on the efficient and effective care of acute coronary syndrome (ACS) patients. To be accredited as an ACC Chest Pain Center, Rose underwent a rigorous review of its cardiovascular department’s policies, procedures, and resources, and met or exceeded all requirements.

Additionally, to achieve the PCI designation, Rose Medical Center demonstrated the availability of a call team comprised of a cardiac catheterization lab staff and an interventional cardiologist who can arrive at the facility within 30 minutes of STEMI activation. This capability must be available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

“At Rose, we’re dedicated to ensuring our patients are provided with the very best care and outcomes,” said Adam Weingart, MD, Chief Medical Officer of Rose Medical Center. “We’re proud to be recognized for our strong cardiovascular department, our rapid response to emergency cardiac situations, and our wide range of specialized CV services.”
